4 years ago I bought a new car from Mercedes dealer in JHB and was given hundreds of documents to sign, one of them being a tracking "contract" which i assumed was a free service for buying a new car that Mercedes provided, I didnt see the part stating it was a paid for service and i was in contract which i had to cancel with a months notice.
I drove the vehicle for sometime before selling it privately (not being aware i needed to cancel the contract), I have been paying R127 per month for a tracking service that i wasnt using and wasnt aware of and have been doing so for 3 years, i was never contacted regarding the contract itself or given any statements or invoices on account at any stage (only got texts stating there was a problem with my tracking device, which i duly ignored as i didnt own the vehicle at the time).
Somehow an email was sent to my Father making contact and making me aware of this and when i phoned the company, not only were they very rude and condescending on the phone but i was told that under no circumstances would i be getting a refund.
i find this wholly unacceptable and disgusting the fact that I have paid for a service i have not been receiving.
