I am writing this complaint in frustration with Altech Netstar's response to removing an inactive tracking unit in a car that I purchased. When I bought the vehicle I did not know it had a Netstar unit installed, subsequently when my car battery died due to this unit draining power, the vehicle workshop informed me that there is a Netstar unit in the car.
The issue I have is that I did not ask for this unit, nor was there any way for me to identify that there was a Netstar unit installed when I bought the car, now I have to foot the bill of R500 to have this unit removed - I do not believe that this is fair!! It is poor form from Altech Netstar willing to budge on me having to foot the bill to have their unit removed from my car.
