Is your alarm system technically working correct?

On 11/8/2013 we had a burglary while we were inside our house.3 People gam over our huge electronic gate, derailed it and simply reversed in with a Nissan bakkie, coupled our trailer which had a Go-Cart on and drove off. We used our panic button which sounded for at least 8 minutes. I called a friend (member of SAPS) who came to help within minutes. On his arrival he could hear our alarm screaming, but we had no reaction from ADT. We called SAPS, who came to take our statements and did the normal procedures. Later this evening we pressed the panic button again and now within minutes, we received a call from ADT to confirm that the alarm was activated. Within the hour we pressed the panic button again. Again ADT reacted. I instituted a claim againts ADT for our losses. ADT has decided to replace our Radio receiver on Tuesday 13/8/2013 the receiver was replaced, but no proof has been provided that the original was faulty. Our claim was handled by Cunninham & Lindsey and I have received a letter from them confirming that our claim was denied as ADT can not be held responsible for losses because they are not responsible for the Elecrtonics of the alarm system they have installed???
