Poor Response on an Armed (panick button)

On the 5th of December my house was robbed by 3 armed criminals. After they had left we pressed the ADT Panic button. The Security Company sent 1 office to our house after about 35-40 minutes. The officer came walking slowly as if he was lost didn't know he was on duty and anything was possible as this was a panic call. He then asked us if we had called ADT to which I replied were you not advised that this was a panic call and why did it take them so long to respond. He then told us he was coming back as he needed to call the police. He then left for almost 30 minutes still in shock as it did not look like we were now safe by the Grace of our relatives came while the officer was gone then we were a bit relieved as someone had come to our rescue. The company which we are paying for security disappointed us to the core. Had they responded quick they would have gotten the criminals as they were driving an old car and we pressed the panic button before they left the yard. Is this the service we are paying ADT for?
