Netstar unit drained my battery and left me stranded on the side if the road. tracking unit in the car for 5 years. Had to get car recovered on a flatbed to land rover. without a car for a week, then the problem identified as the Netstar unit. Netstar took 5 days to visit dealer. All they did was disconnect the unit.
So now I have a R6000 bill, still getting billed for subscription and I dont have a working tracker unit.
Trying to get Altech to take respsonsibility has been an exercise in corporate sidestepping. Nobody responds, have called more than10 times. promises to revert. get told I needed to have replace the battery after 3 years and the unit is old. But of course nobody tells you this. So they have been getting my premium every month but try and get service or responsbility from them once in 5 years.
this is just the usual scenario where you deal wiuth any organisation where individually you are a small premium and they feel tehy can just abuse you or not provide reasonable service, ADT, MTN, Telkom is all the same.
