I ordered a new 6- rifle safe from Helvedika Manufacturing on 10 May 2013. I was told by Monika that the safe would take approximately two weeks to manufacture and would be shipped to their warehouse in JHB for me to collect. I eventually received notification that the safe had arrived at the beginning of June 2013. The warehouse owner, Raj, then told me that I had to collect the safe early in the morning, not during the day, as the warehouse was closed during the day. When I eventually arranged to collect the safe, it turns out that the safe had never actually been delivered to JHB. Monika promised to make another safe and deliver to me, which eventually happened at the beginning of July 2013.
The safe as received is of very poor quality. Splatter from cutting and welding has not been ground off, just painted over. The corners have not been welded, just bent and profiled with huge gaps. The door is recessed so much that it is impossible to fit six rifles in the safe without damaging the rifles. Definitely not a 6- rifle safe!
Helvedika promises German quality. Don't believe it! The safe is junk and is essentially expensive scrap metal.
