Unauthorised payment from my account

I made a HelloPeter report a few weeks ago with regards to ADT charging me for a call out that they promised would not be charged for. They then, without any authorisation, took the funds from my bank account. I have checked the contract and it states they may take monthly services charges from my account... not whatever they want, whenever they want. After 4 months of trying to get a response I contacted HellpPeter. My complaint was finally noted and I was promised the funds would be returned in 7-12 working days...(and could I please change complaint on HelloPeter to compliment)... this was almost 3 weeks ago and I still don't have a refund. I would like to cancel my contract without penalty as this was a complete breach of contract not to mention that such a transaction, I'm pretty sure, is illegal. The service I have received from ADT in the past 4 months has been atrocious, as well as the fact that I no longer trust the people I pay to keep me safe I do not think I should be liable to pay a penalty when ADT are not adhering to the contract terms. I would like to be contacted by a manager who is capable of assisting me. Nikki and Glenn Matthews
