I bought a new explora in the second week of January. I connected it to everything and my sd pvr for xtraview. I phoned DSTV and activated the xtraview and everything was working fine. Two weeks later the connection between the Explora and the SD PVR stopped working. After 5, 40 min calls to the call centre and three trips with both decoder to a local agent, no-one can solve the problem. they even replaced my sd pvr decoder at a cost of R850 with no result.
According to the agent they have received numerous problems with xtraview and the link between the explora and sd pvr. I have phoned DSTV again today and spoke to a supervisor, who said they will investigate and comeback to me. It has been advertised that the explora works with the SD pvr, but that does not seem to be the case.
If this is not resolved then the explora is really of no use to me, because I am not buying an HD PVR to work with the explora.
