Multichoice is selling a product that doesn't work yet they won't refund me even though I have proof from Ellies that the new Explora decoder is a dud product!!
I have experienced a fiasco in trying to upgrade my TV viewing from the little DSTV decoder to the new Explora decoder which has left a bad taste in my mouth! I purchased the new Explora decoder on the 22 August 2013 and then asked Ellies, Port Elizabeth to install it. However due to technical problems which over the following 2 months, Ellies could not resolve, has left me feeling very upset, as I could not access any of the features it is marketed as having!
On Friday 25 October 2013 after 8 weeks of Ellies trying to unsuccessfully solve the problem, it was decided that the only solution was to go back to the little decoder. I was told that I must sell the Explora decoder out of hand and that I will have to accept being out of pocket, which I find unacceptable!
Beware of being like this!
I feel let down by Multichoice as I feel that it is only fair that they compensate me in this matter for my loss- they brought out this new product before properly testing it in all situations.
