I bought the new Dstv Explora the same day it was released.hoping it will surely be better than the first HD decoder, but I was so wrong and disappointed. It has no language bottom on the remote like the old one, so you can't get the (true surround sound) on the new decoder. I have called many times asking for help but it seem most of the people working there don't even know what a surround sound is.i have tried to explain several times to them that there is no surround option on the new decoder but they keep telling its automatic which I think its rubbish. I spoke to someone who said he is part of the development team of the Explora, he admitted that it's a mistake on their part but he will let me know the how it's resolved .he does not answer my SMS anyone. Like the first one, you should be able to select surround when you want. I even bought a new yamaha amp rxa 2030. Hoping to boost the surround but it did not help. When it comes to sound, The NEW DSTV EXPLORA IS USELESS.
