So here I am counting the days till the new release of the explora dstv decoder. Off to the local makro to purchase one, only to be met by the most useless and clueless dstv consultant on the floor, how the heck makro allows this I do not know. Get rid of this!!! I already own the latest model hd pvr and now want to upgrade to the explora pvr. This dumb clown goes on telling me I will have to upgrade my entire installation for this explora pvr to work, I have to purchase a switch, the tv must be full hd, the tv must be a smart tv, the decoder must be connected to my lan and so on he goes, trying for 5 minutes to convince me this is a poor decision to buy the explora rather by the hd normal pvr. The more and more I tell him I own that I want the explora pvr, he tries to discourage me. Eventually a makro sales man helped me, I paid and off I went, wondering how much all the extras is going to cost me. I read up on the forums, the manuals etc only to find out everything I need is in the box, nothing else required. So I take out the new explora pvr, hook it up to my existing installation, and wow, everything works within 5 minutes of me starting!!!
