Debit order not autharised

I phoned DSTV to cancel my subscription was moving back to Gautend from R/Bay, that was on 15 December 2013, on 01 January 2014 the debit order went off my account. I then again phoned DSTV to cancel my subscription.

I had to then go to the bank - waste my time and money

Why shoudkl we phone twice to ask something
