Multichoice
Be Careful Of Debit Order Advertisement

DSTV advertise all the wonderful benefits of paying by debit order how much easier etc etc etc
So I decided it would be a good idea and phoned the number provided they took all my details and as a valued dstv subscriber they would send me the forms to sign and the debit order would commence as from the end of may 2013. 2 days later no forms no notification one years subscription was debited from my bank account R7400 on the 27 March 2013, naturally I phoned them to query this for which they duely appologised and assured me the transaction would be reversed within 7 - 10 days this was on the 2 April.
It is now the 30 april and todays conversation went as follows still frightfully sorry and now they will try and raise a cheque as they cannot do a transfer which we may or may not see which will take another 7 days to clear, technologically advanced and they cant do a transfer
It is illegal to debit funds from an account without varification so how do banks allow this to happen
The problem with dstv is you cant even threaten them with going to the opposition there isn't any. So they can do as they please... DON'T TRUST MULTICHOICE
