We hired 4 of Zair's arcade machines and 2 fussball machines for our school fundraiser. Two of the arcade machines did not work. When I asked for a refund for the machines the following Monday, Zair said that a machine had been badly damaged and the costs of repairing it would be more than the cost of refunding us the cost of the 2 machines. However, the machines were not damaged when they left the school property. The damage more than likely happened during the transport back to his premises. Unfortunately, we have no photographic proof of the machines' conditions on delivery and when they were removed. We have nothing to prove that the machines were fixed when they left the school. His delivery guys knew that, and therefore knew we were a soft target. In future we will definitely take the photos as proof. I thought the whole incident was in bad faith.
