Multichoice's insurance cover really is not worth it. I took my faulty PVR decoder into the Umhlanga branch, excellent service from Carol who thoroughly checked the replacement reconditioned decoder, but 3 weeks later had to return it as the hard drive overheated; was given another reconditioned decoder, guy serving me had bad attitude. Back home I could not get sound on TV2, 1/2 hour on phone with a consultant who concluded decoder is faulty. Got a third replacement, had to call my installer at a cost as still no sound! He suspected the RF out port was faulty & was not checked by Multichoice! So a 4th visit to Multichoice in a 1 month period! I had to prompt the consultant to check the RF out port & it indeed was faulty. SO finally after 4 visits I have yet another reconditioned PVR and hope this one gives me better service. Multichoice are suggesting I buy the new Explora, we dont want to spend that kind of money, simply require a replacement that will not give endless problems. What have we been paying insurance for all these years? The contract states a faulty decoder will be replaced with a reconditioned or new decoder, but models are changing all the time. NOT IMPRESSED
