Multichoice
Faulty decode

I have had four decoders in the past year. Each time I phone I get told to take it into the repair centre and they replace it with a new one as I have insurance. I was watching a programme this afternoon and the decoder froze and once I rebooted it I was told that the decoder was full and I could not record any more. I phoned the call centre and was told that I yet again had to go into the service centre for it to be replaced. I have insurance so it does not cost me anything but I get yet another reconditioned machine. I was told that they no longer make this machine and they were most surprised that I have had so many problems. My only alternative was to get it replaced or purchase another machine. The fact that it is no longer manufactured is not my problem but is an indication of the poor products that are sold. I spent R3000 on this decoder when I purchased it. I can apparently get a better machine for R1400. I am paying approximately R25 per month for insurance and what is the point as the quality of the reconditioned machine is clearly poor. It is costing me R700 per month for the service and I feel this is unacceptable. I have had my system checked and it isfine
