It is our matricfarewell on the 24th of August and actually most of the matrics are more excited for the afterparty than the actual formal farewell. Our matric leaders decided to contact SoundScape to organise our afterparty for us and what a let down it was. First of all we had to pay a hundred rand (which did not seem to be a lot of money as we would get a lot for this) to receive VIP access to Marimba lounge at the CTICC, on arrival we would receive a free drink and Marimba would have had loads of specials on their drinks, we would have a photographer, 3 DJ's and we would receive free entry to Sideshow. There would also be some prizes like winning your birthday at a club etc.
Well none of this happened except our access to Marimba and a DJ. We had no drink on arrival as Marimba's drunken manager denied that he knew anything of this arrangements, there was no specials on the drinks and to top everything every bartender had a different price for their drinks.
As matrics without any salary we can not afford a evening like this and I am truely disappointed in SoundScape and Marimba lounge.
I hope they will be finding solutions for this problem as all of us are very unhappy!
