Guests at the Spud 2 premier, we did not enjoy spending an hour and a half after the movie trying to recover a cell phone. The only people in the cinema when we left were 5 members of the cleaning staff. Realising I had left my phone on the seat, we immediately went back. My partner called the phone as we walked through the foyer, which rang. As we got inside, literally 2 minutes later, the phone was gone and had been switched off.
None of the staff came forward (the only people in the cinema!) and management was complacent after we called him. He had no solution and would not question his staff. Instead he said that I, a young women, must search them if I wanted to. He did not call security, the police or look at the camera footage even after we asked for this to happen. His poor attitude and incapability to deal with the situation was disgusting.
Having had continuous issues at this cinema, we do not intend to return. Completely uninterested management that cannot/ will not resolve any issue and attempting to make guests feel uncomfortable is completely unacceptable. We will take this case further, purely due to the nature in which it was handled; poorly!!
