I went to watch the Hunger Games at the 12h30 show on Saturday the 23rd November at the Prestige Cinema.
Paying a heavy price to get a seat at this cinema, I was expecting at least the service that I get at the normal Junction / Classic cinemas.
Turns out, the service was horrible!
Firstly, I got late for the movie because the cashiers did not have lids for the coke cups. They explained that they were sold out for the day and were very busy. In a 30 seater cinema, is it not recommended to have at least 50 of everything at any given time??
Secondly, the entire movie was ruined as the aircon was not working and everyone boiled in the cinema. Someone did complain before the movie began, but nothing was done about it. It was a 2.5 hour movie and we all boiled.
I did not enjoy the experience at all, especially having to pay a premium price for this cinema.
I was surprised to walk out of the cinema and nobody apologised to the viewers for the aircon not working. If this was Nu Metro, there would have been someone there giving you a refund without even asking.
Disappointed completely and probably will not evey go back to a Ster Kinekor cinema if I do not receive an explanation.
