Injured on your property - won't take responsibili
At around 15:30 on 6 April 2013 my hubby & I were at ERM. On our way out of the mall, outside the Solo shoe store, an employee of Prestige cleaning had a black trolley bin, collecting rubbish from each store. As we walked past, I slipped and fell, injuring my left knee. This trolley had left a trail of black tracks that were moist as it was wheeled through the mall, causing the tiles to be extremely slippery. I was in shock, so my husband asked the employee from Prestige cleaning for his details, he said this was not his problem as he was just doing his job. He asked the cleaner to call security and centre management. A security guard from Fidelity Security arrived. He wasn't very concerned that I was injured. Told hubby to call (011) 823 1110 for a contact person at Centre Management and was told that bin must be wheeled around the centre to collect rubbish from various stores. We have since laid a claim with JHI (Pty) Ltd. who manage ERM. They lodged a claim with their insurers who came back today saying they are not liable - I must contact Prestige Cleaning. I have incurred costs of R1600.00 already and am in pain every day. They are passing the buck and not accepting responsi
