We bought a property from a insolvent estate and paid up all the levies and got a clearance certificate. Propell then came afterwards and wanted another R10 000 satying they made a mistake on the accounts. Instead of charging the previous owners, they have now gone and lumped this amount onto our monthly statement and then continue to pile up charges at every turn.
Propell's accounting system has been designed to confuse property owners which results in a myriad of charges being levied non-stop on accounts in arrears. They charge 34.8 % interest, an amount that even loan do not charge. They charge high 'legal fees' but yet do not send any letter, email or sms that they claim to have done. They sell body corporates this notion that they will pay for the levies upfront and them milk the property owners at every turn. Its all a and owners should lay a charge at the Consumer Commissioner against this company. And when the Sectional Title Ombudsman comes into effect, then this company will get exposed for what it is.
Property owners should approach their body corporates with a view to getting Propell out of the affairs as this company is up to no good!!!
