Recently rented a townhouse through Ansie. Before moving in we took time to make sure we get all the necessary admin done. We were ready to drive to Impact to open an electricity account in our name but Ansie told us that the owner preferred to keep the electricity acc in his name so they will send us a monthly bill.
1st prob:We never received a copy of our signed contract as promised, after enquiring this, Ansie said that the contract is wrong because the apparent owner is not the owner, instead the property belongs to the apparent owner's mother-in-law.Thus we had to resign a new contract.This is very unprofessional. How do you not know who's property you are renting out??
2nd Prob:Wednesday when I got home after work I found our power has been cut off.Asking Ansie about this she just said we should've opened our own account.How can she say this now after telling us the owner prefers to keep it in his name, which Impact b.t.w confirmed that the acc wasn't in the owner's name but in the previous lessee name.Didn't have electricity for 3 days!!! I cant understand how an agent can operate this way!? Every time there is a different story. I refuse to work with someone like this!
