My contract comes to an end in October 2013, and reading all the other posts on how tenants struggle to get their deposits from Impacts Estates, I decided to just make sure that my deposit was safe & secure. I contacted the owner of the unit that I am currently renting, enquiring about my deposit. The owner confirmed that Impact Estates never paid any deposit over to him. I then went back to Impact asking for the proof of payment, where my deposit was paid over to the owner - which in my opinion is a very reasonable request. After mails to & from and 5 requests later, they still have not been able to produce any proof of payment. Every time, there is a different excuse...
They are very quick in sending their final demand letters if your proof of rental payment is not with them - even though in the 3 years I was under contract with them my rent was NEVER late! Now try and get a proof of payment from them about deposits, and see what excuses they come up with!?
Safe yourself a lot of money and effort and don't do business with these people!!!
