I would like to share my experience with how the rental trubunal helped me get my deposit, I rented a flat at Afhco property management and due to the terrible service of no water supply and broken lifts we had to move out and they refused to give us our deposit and told me I owed the R2299 for painting their bachelor I rentedfor R2050, that it costs them R1200 to paint the per side of the wall meaning its R4800 for the bachelor, then 9months later they listed me on ITC and still didnt have proof of the amount paid for the painting, so the rental tribunal issued a summons with a 10 day notice and the paid my deposit and removed me on ITC, so BIG UPS to the Rental tribunal and use their free service to sort the landlords/property owners/!!!
