The property has been vacated at the end of June. Aparantly a wall had to be repainted which I believe is general wear and tear and not damage to the property and for this they want to subtract from my depsoit. I had a late payment as well and for this i'm penalized an extra R250.00. From the Housing rental tribunal i understand that the deposit had to be paid back after seven days (who should be penalized now?) Might take up to 21 days if damages had to be repaired (if there were DAMAGES). They asked me to complete the coplaint form which I will be doing asap. My contract does not state that a dirty wall constitutes damage.
