On the 3rd of November 2013 I went to the estate agent Julie Willemse of Arcon Estates Vereeniging to settle my rent for November. I did complain about my W&L account and she told me if I don't like it I can move. At that moment I agreed that I will move and would they accept it if I get someone to take over my lease? She agreed to it saying that they will release me from my lease if I find someone. telling me I will have to give them one months notice witch I told her then and then I'm giving notice.
On 15 Nov I went with Julie to do my W&L readings. I told her that I have found someone to take over from me actually 2 persons a woman and a man. She then told me she does not give flats to single woman reason being if they don't pay they will battle to get rid of them. I told her that the person did not have a deposit will it be ok if they took over mine she said as long as I give a letter. and that they will have to approve the new tenants. Over the week end one of my friends took the flat and paid my deposit back to me.
He was approved by Arcon Estates and told not to take my flat but No1.
I actually have proof of this. is this legal?
