Unfair treatment - 38 Garden Lodge

I have lost my job end of September 2013 and was renting through Knight Estates from the owner. I have informed them and send them the Unemployment letter but still paid my rent which was R4500 every month up until end of November I paid R5000 and something rand. I was requested by Wilson Delport from Knight Estates that the owner wants us to move end of December 2013 as he does not want us there any more. I did not have anywhere to go to and they did not inform me in a letter advising that I have to move. They just literally threw us out without any warnings and letters. We eventually moved on the 4th of January 2014 but had bad attitudes from the Knight Estates staff. I was told by Wilson telephonically that he can pay the rent of December from my deposit which is R6700. Now they are withholding extra money as they are still waiting for water and lights accounts that apparently needs to be deducted and don't want to pay my money back. No arrangements has been made in writing and the recon that was send to me states that they owe the tenant, which is me R1200 and he said it actually is suppose to be a minus. If they cant do their calculations properly then I don't understand.
