We signed a lease agreement through John Livanos Estates with Quinton Rall. However, the Lessor Mr. Leon Bezuidenhout operates outside the boundaries of the Law when his tenants fail to pay their rent. In our case he removed the front gates, front door & cut the electricity in the municipal box, illegally with no court order & to the knowledge of the Estate Agent. We paid all the arrears, and then went onto a month to month lease, in January we were given notice. Today the geyser burst, Mr Bezuidenhout refuses to replace the geyser until the last months rent is paid. However, he has our deposit. He utilizes tactics of intimidation & manipulation with his tenants, and believes he is above the law. It is very expensive for a tenant to obtain a Expoliation Order, and the Lessor knows this. The Estate Agent that we signed the Lease with, we as tenants expect him to mediate within the confines of the law, however is biased and only has the Lessors interest. When we confront Quinton Rall on the Lessors practice we are told he only finds suitable tenants, however as an registered Estate Agent he continues to turn a blind eye to the Lessors illegal practice & our lease agreement.
