In July 2011, I rented a house out in Pretoria through Khumba Letting Solutions. In the original contract we pointed out the unsightly water damage in the bathroom and kitchen. The agent confirmed that this would be repaired. We moved in and after a month, we sent an email to remind them to repair the water damage. We received no reply. Shortly Thereafter, I noticed that the ceiling was leaking water in the kitchen and lounge areas. Again I reported this to Jeremy at Khumba and again our concerns were ignored.
Now after 2.5 years I have given notice to vacate, Graham Jones brought at least 5 prospective tenants to view the house. Nobody wants to rent it because Khumba blatantly ignored every request we made for maintenance. I am now inundated with requests from various contractors to quote to repair the water damage and leaking ceilings. It has been a disruption & frustration to both my business & personal life. This clearly shows the total disregard that Khumba displays to their tenants. Khumba totally neglected their responsibilities towards me as their tenant for 2.5 years and then in their attempt to desperately rent the house out, have caused chaos in my life!
