In September 2012 I rented a property from Umvuzo letting. After 3 months of me paying the water & lights account together with the rent I was informed by Thulani @ Umvuzo Letting that the water & lights account was way overdue. He had not transfered the payments that I had done for the water & lights to the relevant parties. I had to prove to him that I had paid him, before he paid it over. We have now moved out and I have been accused of being in breach of contract. The lease is no longer valid, I gave more than a month's notice that I was vacating and now Thulani does not want to pay my deposit back.
I will take it further if I don't get my refund back with all the interest that is due to me.
Umvuzo letting has no idea what they are doing. They are an agent that does not ensure that the tenant is happy. Please a CAUTION to anyone who is renting a property and see's the name UMVUZO LETTING as the agent DON'T DO IT!!!
