I have a problem with the company Ciqit properties/Jika Proparties, I rented from them until recently as at the 31st July 2013.
When I handed in my notice to vacate the property, I was told by Sifiso Tshuma that I would receive my deposit as the notice was handed in on time and also there was no entry inspection done to compare to the exit inspection, so there was no reason for me not to get my R4, 000 back.
To my surprise after I moved out, I was told that there was no deposit in my account as the previous agents (Townhouse warehouse) didn't transfer it to them.
As I know, if a company takes over the administration and the maintaince/running of the property, they should make sure that they have all signed contracts with the previous agents and also make sure that all moneys outstanding or due in this case is transferred to that unit.
I have stayed in that unit for 4years, in all this time, no one from the agents bored to share these news with me. this is an unfair and unscrupulous way to conduct business.
All I want is my R4, 000 back.
