I asked this agency to rent out my premises in Middelburg. In there contract they state that they will do ALL to find the correct lessee for a particular building. They were very slow in there response to the client and I have decided to handle the lease myself because the tenant was in a hurry to start renting. This was after they introduced the tenant to me.
I paid them what they charged and assumed that they did everything to make sure that this is a suitable tenant as stated in there contract. However, it turned out that the building was not zoned correctly for what the tenant was going to use it for. The tenant spent money to prepare the area.
I took the contract over from Just Letting, because the reacted so slow. Now they say that I am responsible for this mess. The tennant take me to court now, and I have to pay R40 000.00 back to them as apparently that is what they spent here. I feel that it is utter bad service given to me both as landlord and tennant as well.
What are they going to do about this? Are they really not responsible? I will never use them again and never recommend them to anyone else. Bad, evasive, ignoring service. Not even try to be helpfull!
