im the second daughter for the above deceased,
my dad passed away on the 22-10-2011, he had 4 children, 3 with his first wife who he married in traditional custom andthey got seperated, 1 with the new wife..
My dad filled in a WP form back in 2007 and norminated his new wife as the beneficiary, which was rejected on the 02-11-07 due to insufficient information given,
in 2009 he drew a will with Sanlam and in section 2.6 he norminated beneficiaries under the age of 21 years as the beneficiaries of his pension fund, by the time he drew up a will it was when the minor was below 21 and not 18 years old as now.
because he had an estate the Masters court norminated all his children and his wife (our step mother) to be the executors because of the conflict we had in reagrds to the will and his estate.
we then decide to norminate Karin Hanekom Attorneys as power of attorney to deal with the wind up of the estate and all the administration work.
when approach the Department of Education to inform them about the will and the 2 young children who are still in school,
The attorneys involved forwarded all the documents needed for the decision to be made.
