Queues at Counter 14 - to collect an Unabridged Birth Certificate, which was ready as I had received an sms, - were non-existent. An angry mob of disorganised moms with new-borns were mobbing the counters to get some service - no organised system in place to help.
Staircase up to first floor entrance to the building was flooded with sewerage water ankle deep. The only way into the Home Affairs building. VERY DANGEROUS AND UN HYGIENIC - especially for these young mothers with babes.
Needles to say, I couldn't get my unabridged birth certificate.
