Metro Police
NO REFLECTOR WORN AND NON VISIBILITY OF VEHICLE

This morning as I was driving to work, I came across and was stopped by two Metro cops. The reason I was given was that I didn't stop at a stop sign and that I didn't have my seat belt fatsened either. I do not have a problem with the no seat belt fastened issue and I didn't even argue this fact with the metro officer.

My concern is with the fact that:
1. The officer who stopped me was NOT wearing a reflector as prescribed by their departmental requirements to wear a reflector when stopping civilians at a road block or any other OFFICIALLY approved areas.
2. The official vehicle was NOT visible and was hidden between trees so as to "surprise" drivers. Vehicle details: Nissan NP bakkie (MP177) - Reg: BY 41 BK GP

Was it not announced that metro officers be VISIBLE at all times? Why are they still trying to "catch people out"?

I am extremely disappointed that the level of professionalism or lack thereof!!! I am going to dispute the issued ticket for the NO STOPPING charge as I in fact DID stop. The non fastening of the seat belt charge, I'm in agreement with.

PLEASE GUYS, HELP US TO RESPECT YOU BY ADHERING TO YOUR OWN PROCESSES AND POLICIES!
