DISREGARD of change in Policy!

I was called by a SARS agent to inform me about my efiling refund, she made me aware that I can take documents to a SARS office whereby they'll update my details to get refunded. She said I should take a certified copy of my ID, proof of address as well as my bank statement. I put together all documents, left work to take them to a SARS office. On my arrival the man at reception was quick to tell me that the proof of address (vodacom statement) I had was incorrect. I asked what proof of address would suffice then he said utility bill/ letter from owner if renting at the address /electricity acc/medical aid statement or telephone account, I asked him what would the vodacom statement I have be classified under if not a TELEPHONE account? I asked to speak to the branch manager who did not bother to even assist but hand me over to a lady who also told me the same thing the man at reception had said. She said a affidavit from the police station would not suffice and that only a letter from my workplace confirming where I live will! Needless to say that sounded so ridiculous. Anyway I called HR & got the letter only to get to SARS Alberton to be told the policy had changed and they accept it!
