I'm very disappointed with the service that I got at SARS Soweto. I went there to change my banking details yesterday at around 12h00. Before my visit I called customer service to check what I was required.. to bring, I was advised to go to any branch with my ID, one month bank statement not older than 3 month, certified copy of my grandfather's ID and mine and A CRA01 form. When I got I was told that they won't be able to assist my bank statement is not valid, they need 3 months. I had to go to the bank for the bank statement and queue. When I came back there was a different receptionist she told me that I won't be assisted if I don't have an IR34. I was told to queue for the IR34 after that I can change my banking details. I did so but when I got to the consultant I advised him that I had spoken to customer service and they didn't advise that the IR34 was required, and asked him if he would be able to assist without, he said no I had to wait for it via the post and there's nothing he can do "he doesn't make the rules". I left and went to Roodeport and my banking details were changed in less that 30 minutes. Big ups to SARS Roodeport for their great customer service.
