JOBURG outstanding balances

I changed from normal electricity to prepaid as I thought it would be an additional way to control consumption. The switch over was done by City Power on 16th August and my final reading was taken and shown to me. I received a subsequent account which did not reflect the final reading. I phoned to query the account and was told an adjustment would be made Ref 8001526326. To date all my requests for a corrected account have fallen on deaf ears and I have been cut off by the operator twice (as if they do not want to communicate any further with this silly customer). I have been paying rates in the Roodepoort area since 1976 without a single problem from the account side nor my side. My payments have been on date of receipt of account and since email accounts have been introduced on date of receipt of email. When hiccups have occurred I have used the self help telephone balance. Come on JOBURG. I have done my bit. How about speeding things. It is sad to hear how many people and how much money is in arrears and residents are blamed. My latest experience proves where the problem.
