My fiance is currently receiving monthly stipend from WCA. In Oct 2013 he wasn't paid on usual date (25th). When I called Workmen's Compensation Fund in Pretoria to enquire as to why the payment was not made I was sent from pillar to post.
This is UNACCEPTABLE and you get to be told to hold for very long minutes until you run out of airtime.
This is a PATHETIC service!!!
I don't seem to understand how they expect people to survive as they are dependant on this monthly stipend.
I mean one makes one's contribution and when one claims it is totally a different story - you get to be told to fill in forms - send bank statements and be called time and time again, to be told that your bank statement got lost and whilst walking with wheelchair and crutches must go and stand in the long queue in the banks for a bank statement and when you eventually submit all documents requested by WCA they neither make payments on time, nor do they have a courtesy to respond to e-mails send.
Such a horrible service to poor South African - very disturbing indeed!!!
