I applied for my passport renewal in the middle of May 2013. I arrived at the Department at 07h30, the application process took about 15 minutes and I walked out of the Department at 07h45. I was told to expect an SMS in two weeks to notify me to collect my passport, 10 days later I received said SMS and went to collect which also took about 15 minutes. This was the most pain free official process I have ever been involved in! Well done, Home Affairs and MP Pandor, keep up the good work!
