I bought a new property last year in July 2012. The property was registered on the 17 July 2012 and all the necessary documents were sent to city of Johannesburg to re register the rates and taxes account into my name. They received all the necessary documents from the lawyers and the developers. It had in clear typed letters ROSEMARY VAN STRAATEN. Not rocket science is it? Then tell me how come my rates and taxes account was registered to a LEBOGANG KGALE? I can see the similarities in the spelling of our names hey? So when the first query was logged in September 2012, they were " WORKING ON IT " in January 2013 they lost the query and I had to log the same query AGAIN! Then in March 2013 the re registered it again... in LEBOGANG KGALE name AGAIN! How can you make the same mistake TWICE?? It is so clear on all 100 notes on the system from all the times I called the call centre! NOTHING has been done to date I still do not have my account in my name as yet? No body can tell me what is going on, nor can I speak to a supervisor. It now a FULL YEAR and City of Johannesburg has done NOTHING TO FIX THEIR MISTAKE!!
