I purchased property and moved into the property on 28 February 2013. In March 2013 i received my rates and taxes bill but it was not my name on it, it belonged to the previous owner. i phoned the Cape Town Municipality and informed them that i would like to know how long my account will take to reflect my name. they informed me three months. To my horror i discovered that i did not even have my own account yet, i was still being billed on the previous owner. I then decided to install a pre - paid electricity meter in my house. Four months later, i phoned the municipality and spoke to numberous people, one namely Peter who informed me that my rates and taxes bill came up to R6 000.00. i also discovered that they had been
sending my bill to an address that i have never lived in. how on earth can my rates and taxes amount to R6000.00. i was even charged/billed for electricity that i dont even use.

i have never seen such, incompetency and daylight in my life. THIS IS .

I wish they would meet someone who would sort them out in the most bitter and cruel way for what they do to innocent unsuspecting way. i really curese them!!
