I purchased a townhouse in Centurion for which the bond and property was officially registered on my name in November 2011.
In May 2013 I receive a statement for Rates and Taxes for the time since I moved into the unit saying I need to pay R5505.00 for outstanding rates and taxes since January 2012.
I have no problem paying the rates and taxes on a monthly basis, but can they expect me to pay R5505 once off because they never sent me a statement and never made any effort to contact me to inform me that there's outstanding payment on the account.
