I recently purchased a property. The transfer took place on the 5th of February 2013. I was first advised to go to region 9 and open an account (check the website) when I did go there I was told that a water & Electricity account cannot be opened until a rates account has been created. (one person says something and another different) I received a rates account number. I then went to Eureka House to open a water and electricity account. The gentleman there could not move any meters, he said he had lodged it and I was to return at the end of May 2013. I have received numerous pre-termination notices although addressed to the previous owner is my actual electricity supply. I am trying my best to open these accounts but get constant problems. I Then returned to Eureka house last week hoping that all had been resolved, but alas nothing had occurred to the query sent. I was then told to go to Blue Square in Rueven, which I did. The person helping me there found the error to be that there were 2 accounts (or something like that) he too lodged a query to resolve this. Ref #8001410753.
