I have a proble with SARS, i have submitted the documentation for the 2011/2012 tax season. Later i receive correspodence from SARS that i owed them R11450.00. I didn't understand that and calld them, i was told there are 2 tax certificates missing but the call center agent indicated that she could not help me because their system didn't show which tax certificates. I went to MMabatho branch and the consultatnt indicated that i had recently had two lump sum paid to me, then i understtod was from the employer when i resigned. I contacted the employer, 2 SARS tax directive certificates were issued and i applied for a Dispute as i was told to do. But SARS assessed the documenets seperately, they still maintaid the first assessment and now they assesed the two certificates. SARS still keeps on sending me letters that i still owe them money and now it's accumulating interest, and that i will face their legal team. I need to help from you because, the 2 lump sums that were paid by my employer were taxed by SARS and they even issued those certificates. Now what do i owe them after the have taxed those amounts. I have been an honest cetizen paying my taxes accordingly.
