Myself in room 205 and Vuyiseka Ntakana occupying room 203 would like to express our dissatisfaction with the treatment we received at the hotel this morning. Upon arrival we were informed that breakfast is served at the Casino and that has been the case since day 1 (03.04.22). This morning 09.04.22 we went at 07h00 for our breakfast at the Casino tried opening the door it couldn’t open, tried several times the door did not we pressed the intercom and the person who answered the intercom was very rude kept on telling us that we must open the door the very same thing that we were doing and she was not friendly put the intercom down without even telling us that she’s sending someone. We had to press again and then she told us that she is sending someone to open only to learn that the door was actually LOCKED!!! We stood there for more than five minutes.
We get to the Casino as per usual when we get there we were told we should go and have breakfast at the hotel and by then we are already almost past our time to leave for work. We called the Manager of the hotel and did not receive good reception from the Manager as well. Hers was that we must get breakfast packs and we have had breakfast in the past and no thank you plus it was already 07h25 by then. The one guy from the Hotel Staff tried to assist but the challenge was that they cant deliver the food at work so that did not work because we could not wait for him to pack the food we had to go. We are in Mossel Bay for work and we start at 08h00.
We had to buy breakfast ourselves due to miscommunication from the hotel. Today’s experience was just the worst! The Department that we are employed at pays bed and breakfast for the officials. We will inform our department about this.
