No response, no help, no subscription

After ordering and paying for a year's subscription on 20.12.2014 for my 92 year old grandmother, I am yet to receive any notification or confirmation of when the subscription will start being delivered. I called them and they said they could not find any of my details. I emailed twice in 2 days and despite getting an emailed response saying I will get a response in 8 hours I did not receive any response. I called again and was told it was media24's problem. The person at mysubs then emailed media24 copying me in but since then I have not received any response. This was last week on 6th January. I followed up again on the 8th and 13th January and no response again, despite getting an emailed response saying I would get a response in 8 hours.
Does customer service not exist in this organisation, is it OK to take payment and then not deliver. My grandmother cannot get to the shop anymore hence why I ordered her favourite magazine for her.

It seems non-response is the common theme for mysubs on this website.
