Unprofessional and rude

I stopped receiving books and accounts in the post from Jacklin since early this year. I was contacted a few days ago by their debt collection agency (NBR) advising that I have an outstanding amount with Jacklin and have been handed over and will be black listed. NBR was not able to inform me which books I had not paid for nor provide a detailed statement from Jacklin. At no point did I receive a letter/sms/phonecal from Jacklin advising that an amount was owing. I emailed Jacklin who provided me with a statement which I had not received before. I paid the amount owing directly to Jacklin, who is now refusing to deal with me and refusing to answer my legitmate queries in respect of them passing my details to debt collection agency. Vincent Govenders email to me states - Unfortunately this account is no longer with us, it is only NRB that will be able to assist you further. This is extremely unprofessional and rude. Clearly customer service is not important to Jacklin and they are quick to hand over customer without trying to resolve it first with their clients. i am now being harassed by NBR who is charging for each attempted phone call
