I purchased a cover for my pool through Summer Sun, it has been excruciating to get it installed, a summary of events:
- met with rep in sep and was advised to use a slatted cover
- paid a significant amount towards deposit mid oct with expected installation by 30 nov
- late nov on enquiry about delivery I was advised that my order had not been placed
- after many contacts the owner met with me to explain that the rep had left and his client base had been lost when the laptop was erased
- at this stage the owner admitted that I had been wrongly advised on the cover, as the one being requested was not a safety cover which was a specific need at the onset
- another product albeit a cheaper one was then ordered
- after 4 months the cover has not been installed and I have a partially covered pool which poses a safety threat
- the team at Summer Sun has just passed the buck from one person to another
- quite a disgraceful experience
