I contacted The Spa Company regarding a spa cover for my pool. A concern was if it could be used for a pool my size. Ivan confirmed that with additional reinforcement, it would be fine to even carry the weight of a baby, but should not be seen as a safety device. Agreed and the order was placed.
I requested them to do detail measurements, and was only then informed of the additional R450 charge. I opted to do the measurements myself. I even sent through photos of measurement methods and called Ivan to confirm that they understood the method.
At first delivery the cover was wrong and was sent back. At first they wanted me to pay again for the cover, but after few attempts they agreed to fix the cover on their cost.
Second delivery the cover was still wrong and of very poor workmanship. Ivan was informed and to date - NO RESPONSE.
It has been a month in use and the cover has now sagged more than 150 mm over 2 m span. This is due to the cover deforming over time forming a low point for rainwater to gather. Situation gets worst every day and expected usage is at most 3 months.
To date no response from The Spa Company - BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS PAYMENT UPFRONT - NEVER AGAIN
